Alan Moore wrote "The Killing Joke", a story featuring Batman and the Joker.

The Joker appears in a crossover with the Punisher and is therefore part of the Marvel Universe.

The Punisher also has a crossover with Archie comics, who also had a cross over with The Simpsons.

Alan Moore appeared in an episode of The Simpsons.

Alan Moore exists only within his own imagination, his physical being is an avatar which he uses to write scenarios in which a god of his nature can die.

Alan Moore writes gritty dystopian comics because he wants to die.

I picked both parts of this game up off of Steam for $3.40 a pop, and it's been an enjoyable experience so far. Running around as Rorschach and brutally beating the crap out of criminals has been a very enjoyable experience so far. I do see why it didn't get the best of reviews when it came out: it is somewhat repetitive in the way its combat works, but I look at it as sort of a 3D Final Fight starring two characters that I enjoy a lot, so that's not really a major downside for me (and really, I like old brawler type games so...). My main complaint so far would be one that many 3D games have: the camera is your enemy and is out to get you.

We all read at least one of them, I'm sure. What's your favorites?

I like Schlock Mercenary and read it religiously. I gush a lot about Outsider because it's a fantastically drawn and written comic... when it updates, which isn't nearly as often as I'd like. I've been reading Namesake too, because it intrigues me and I can't wait to see where it's going (I think it's made by [ profile] gullwhacker's friends).

A few years back DC and Marvel did this rather great crossover. These are my favorite pages from it.

And you should go buy and read the thing.

Let me share my vision with you.

Batman. Dr. Hurt. Batman R.I.P. adapted as a movie.

Adam West as Dr. Hurt.

Is this not awesome?

Is a great comic. And this week was even greater. An issue of it, and a giant size issue of it. Both of which rocked. You should read this book.
