Code Geass

Quick review: Season 1 sucked for the most part. I watched the first five episodes, got bored and skimmed the next 10 or 12 or so, and then it stopped sucking and got kind of awesome towards the end. Season 2 was pretty awesome from start to finish, but Japan has to inject philosophy into their giant robots and that's kind of a bummer.

Also, Lelouch is a monster, and his tyrannical genocidal rampage only accomplished one thing that couldn't be accomplished otherwise: he stopped dear old daddy from hitting the Neon Genesis Evangelion World Reset button. Otherwise all he did was destroy the lives of everyone he loved and cared about. Congrats Lelouch, your older brother probably could have united the world in the same amount of time without indulging in patricidal and fratricidal fantasies.

Yesterday I had breakfast/dinner at Ye Olde Steakhouse. It was a really good steak. It was also 20 ounces of New York Strip. So needless to say I had to take a little less than half home with me. (Which then today was turned into a sort of burrito thing with green chili sauce, carmelized onions, olives...)
