YO DAWG I PUT A FLASHBACK IN YO FLASHBACK SO YO CAN REMEMBER WHILE YO REMEMBER
Shigurui aka Rob put me up to it.
The narrative flow was pretty muddied, and the first few episodes were pretty weak on their own. I couldn't watch this in any form aside from a marathon. Which is what I did. Towards the end, all the weakness of the previous episodes sort of gets washed away in a torrent of awesome blood. I think at one point in the movie we had a 'this person is fantasizing this scene' moment inside of a flashback, inside another flashback, which was inside a third, which was wrapped up in the meta-flashback that everything but the first episode takes place in.
After suffering through the beginning, I give it a 7/10. It was good overall.
