How some people just like to go find things to make themselves angry?

oppression

There is a quiet tyranny to the waiting room. The enforced blandness in the decor, with the generic nature scenes and the muted typically earthy or green colors are an example. Often there is no music: any choice could be taken as offensive by a patron forced to endure said music for 15, 20, 30 minutes at a stretch. With nothing of substance to provide a modicum of aural stimulation one turns to the magazines. How many people have read last year's Better home and gardens or Golf Digest? The contents, like the pages, are stale and lifeless. Each provides a moment of distraction, crinkle under the fingers but this passes as all things do. The overbearing quiet, punctuated by murmurs of office workers chatting, a called name, or tired dull foot steps builds a prison. I want to break free. I want to liberate the soul from these shackles. We have the technology to make this better, my friends, let us work together and end the soft oppression of the soil imposed by waiting rooms. Let us go forward together.

How long must I remain ensnared within this wellspring of disease. There is coughing, coughing all about me. Inside the building as well as without. The appointment was 20 minutes late to start. I have the vague funk of mildew and stale cigarette smoke lingering. Yes I'm sure the no smoking sign degree everyone. Good old old fashioned waiting rooms, there's nothing else quite like them.

Stealing from someone who lives on disability is... well it's not quite stealing a disabled dog's walker, but pretty low anyway.

This was some potent stuff. It made the gout go away, but also made my body basically stop healing correctly. Crazy times.

They're lurking downstairs, a whole gang of them. They're delicious and moist, chewy, chocolatey, butterscotchy, and they're waiting for me. If you don't hear from me in 24 hours, call an ambulance, I'll need it.

I set this silly character's battlecry to "I'll shit up your butt!" Moments after hitting it in a mission, I hear, "I can't believe it fit!"

New sets:

Beam Rifle (Blasters, Corruptors, Defenders)
Staff Fighting (Tanks, Brutes, Scrappers, Stalkers?)
Street Justice (Tanks, Brutes, Scrappers, Stalkers)
Time Manipulation (Defenders, Corruptors, Controllers, Masterminds)
Titan Weapons (Tanks, Brutes, Scrappers, Stalkers?)

Proliferation:

Blaster: Dark Blast (primary), Dark Manipulation (secondary)
Controller: Poison (secondary)
Defender: Thermal Radiation (primary), Fire Blast (secondary)
Scrapper: War Mace (primary), Battle Axe (primary), Energy Aura (secondary)
Tanker: Super Reflexes (primary), Martial Arts (secondary)
Brute: Broadsword (primary), Katana (primary), Regeneration (secondary)
Corruptor: Psychic Blast (primary), Poison (secondary)
Mastermind: Sonic Resonance (secondary)
Stalker: Ice Armor (Secondary)

I'm thinking of, in no particular order:

Beam Rifle/Poison Corruptor (probably the ultimate single target killer in the game)
Super Reflexes/Martial Arts Tank (With the +Def from Storm Kick it should be able to hit 60+% defense very easily, pretty awesome)
Something/Ice Armor Stalker (HABAKKUK THE FROZEN)
Psychic Blast/Something Corruptor (PSYTHON, I knew I got that name on Virtue for a reason!)
Street Justice/Something Something (named U MAD, because I have the name on Virtue >.>)

And that's really all I've got. I don't know enough about how Street Justice, Staff Fighting, or Titan Weapons will play mechanically to pick a good combination (though Titan Weapons with its 'momentum' mechanic that makes attacks speed up seems perfect for Brutes). A lot of the other choices would've interested me in the past, but Mace/Axe/EA for scrappers seems a bit late to the party now, same thing with BS/Kat/Regen for Brutes (and I hear Regen is more than lacklustre for brutes right now). I wanted a Demons/Sonic MM, but I've got a Demons/Forcefields one already, so I think it would play too similarly to something I have already.

Dark Manipulation for Blasters has me kind of excited, because there's some great stuff in there, but I don't know what I'd pair it with for the primary: Dark Blast on my Dark/Kin Corr turned me off to the set so hard I refuse to make a Dark Blast anything again.

Anyone else got any cool ideas for the new stuff? (And did I miss any upcoming power sets? I *think* I got them all, but it's entirely possible one slipped by me.)

Still wanting Ice Armor for Brutes, Devs, some day, please >.>

Just BASIC

Just BASIC looks kind of neat, and I think I'm going to give it a spin for a super simple project I want to do. I already have it making standalone programs that can take two user-inputted numbers and add them. How hard can it be to make clickable buttons? (Don't answer that.)

Best CoD game I've played so far. Typing from my phone now, so maybe more comments later.

The documentary shows film of agents descending on various organic farms and outlets, guns drawn, SWAT teams present. It’s straight out of science fiction and something that you can’t believe happens in America. I can understand a huge police presence when going after a drug lord, but a family farmer? Sure, farmers keep guns but in my experience they aren’t violent people.

I punched the bully and got into a fight. He left me alone after that. This is the only acceptable response to being bullied: fight back.

CoD 2 was a step up from the original Call of Duty in pretty much every regard. Campaign is still a little disjointed: why do I want to jump around from theatre to theatre when it would be way more satisfying to fight through a single campaign? The north africa section would've made a great whole game on its own, but no, we had to go off to Russia, and D-Day, and then cross the Rhine. It's like the abridged greatest hits of World War 2 here...

I won't spoil it with a quote, just go read it. o_o

Alan Moore wrote "The Killing Joke", a story featuring Batman and the Joker.

The Joker appears in a crossover with the Punisher and is therefore part of the Marvel Universe.

The Punisher also has a crossover with Archie comics, who also had a cross over with The Simpsons.

Alan Moore appeared in an episode of The Simpsons.

Alan Moore exists only within his own imagination, his physical being is an avatar which he uses to write scenarios in which a god of his nature can die.

Alan Moore writes gritty dystopian comics because he wants to die.

I played through the CoD expansion pack. I have to admit, I didn't enjoy the beginning very much. Fighting from foxholes in Bastogne wasn't that great of an experience. The second segment with the British RAF crewman was better, I particularly liked the mission in Sicily to sabotage some coastal guns. The final segment on the East front saw fighting at Kursk and Kharkov, but wasn't a particularly fun time: I really don't enjoy the tank-driving in this game.
