o/And I just found out, My best friend's gay, Today was a bad day/o - Bizarre

Me and Dad went out to eat. We were going to go to Bogie's out on Bearden Hill. We just ate their yesterday. I was going to get the Lasagna (Wednesday's special), and he was going to get the fried green tomato BLT thing.

Well, turns out that Bogie's closed down last night. Previously Bogie's had been the Palm Grill. Bogie's was furbished almost identically to the Palm's, so they just reused most of the furnishings. As me and Dad ate at the Texas Roadhouse on down the way (I had the Sirloin tips, he had a sirloin) we talked about this and we figure that the owner of Bogie's just ran a scam on his investors. I estimated how much he could get out of it without resorting to obviously criminal activities like embezzeling and came up without a hundred grand. Not bad for a year's pay.

Anyway, lunch was good. Then we went over to McKay's bookstore. We grabbed some of the free books from the bins outside for Mom. Then went in and looked around. Over in the New Age/Occult/Speculation section I grabbed some neat books. Two on Nostradamus, one on herbalism (for my Herbalism thing I'm doing in the FFRPG :p), got a book on Hawaii's myths/religion written by the late King Kalakaua, and also a copy of the Bahgabsajgsdidhgasisnf(*cough*)-Gita, you know, the Hindu holy book that's all about Krishna, for free.

And I also got my prize. An autographed copy (I compared to signatures found online) or Dave Barry's book Tricky Business. For two dollars. Just two dollars. I could go eBay the thing for fifty.

And since then, I've been dozing, working on my other computer and getting it set back up, and dozing. Exciting, I know. My dozing made me miss OLAD this week. :(

Anyway, that's it.
