Research_Gerbil It's feudal earth, with a whacked out day/year. But more importantly, the people have to live in the mountains or underground to avoid the 100 degree summers and pray for the 10-20 degree winters.

Research_Gerbil Since it's a Quarantined world there's either some horrible disease that kills off-worlders, or a Daemon infestation.
Research_Gerbil I'm going with a combination: it's a nurgle plague that makes the infected able to survive the heat of summer, but turns them into monsters.
